Farming Motes of Earth is the only way you can get Primal Earth (combine 10 Mote of Earth to get 1 Primal Earth). Both Mote of Earth and Primal Earth are used by many professions in many different patterns. Primal Earth is also a key ingredient in Primal Might.

The only options when it comes to obtaining Motes of Earth you can either farm them yourself to avoid buying them in the AH, where they are often overpriced. Or constantly check the Auction House looking for a good deal.
