The Gnomish Army Knife is one of my favorite new items. This one little gadget replaces your Gyromatic Micro-Adjuster, Arclight Spanner, Flint and Tinder, Blacksmithing Hammer, Mining Pick, and a Skinning Knife freeing up a lot of bag/bank space (and if you’re like me you didn’t carry any of your engineering stuff around then got to questing in the Borean Tundra and noticed that you can harvest the mechanical guys, then had to fly all the way back to the bank to get your Archlight Spanner).

Here’s the good part. I’ve done some testing with my own characters and discovered that any Non Engineer can use this knife, freeing up to 7 slots in your bags (depending on your professions). The only catch is that only a Master Engineer can take advantage of the “Use” portion of the item, the Jumper Cables (I know because I tried to revive someone with Shazuku and it didn’t work, but Kimico was able to shock someone back to life easily).

Downside: It’s not the cheapest thing to make, takes 10 Saronite Bars.

I suggest buying them out of the AH (unless you’re making them for skillups like I did). On our server they are currently selling for between 2 and 5g each, a bargain if you ask me.
