Blizzard has announced that the regular Tuesday maintenance will be over 12 hours tomorrow in anticipation of the 3.0.2 patch dubbed Echoes of Doom. We will have New 51 Talent Tree, Barber Shops, new Inscription profession, new Harbor area in Stormwind, new Guild Calendar, and many other changes to classes and game play. The patch is at 1.17Gig as of last night, so get that patch downloading tonight before the new patch goes live. Patch Notes Here

Tip: You can go to your WorldofWarcraft Dir and double click on BackgroundDownloaded.exe to start the download manually.

A cool change in 3.0.2 patch is going to be how vanity pets and mounts are going to be stored. There will be a new tab in your character screen called pets. In that screen you can choose between mounts or companions – non-combat pets are now called companions – when you fist summon your companion or mount it will disappear in your bag and reappear in this new tab. Freeing up bag space. Now you can summon your companions or mount like a spell.

Now is the time to make big bucks on all those herbs you have been storing in anticipation for the new Inscription Profession.

Add-On

As always we will keep an eye on all the add-ons we use as a guild and post updates when available. If we miss any you use and have found the new version of it, post it in the comments and I will get it in this list. For now, make sure to check your use outdated add-ons box in the add-on screen just in case. We are not sure if there will be a new UI interface or not making all add-ons useless.

  Inscription and Glyphs

Glyphs are the new feature of Inscription. I plan to level Inscription on Isabel when the 3.0.2 patch goes live. I refuse to pay the high prices of Glyphs when they come out and it’ll be good for the guild to have a high level Inscriptor. So let me know what you need and I will see what I can do.

click on database > Items > Glyphs > then your class to see what is available

Note: Wowhead has a new Item Comparison Tool, it’s a lot like the Rating Buster WoW add-on but out of game and you can compare any items, not just what you have on. I Compared 2 daggers I have with a Shaman Enhancement build and it gave me a score saying which one was better for that build Click Here To See. You can also compare item sets against breaking up your set with an new piece. Or your staff vs main hand and and off hand. Its pretty cool.
